Hi Liane,
My name is Ken. My wife and I traveled to Tahiti, Bora Bora and Moorea in
1999. While there I met Tavita Manea and had him do a tattoo on my upper
left arm. As he is French Polynesian(and I American) communication was difficult. I signed on here to get a feel for the meaning of the symbols.
After viewing some of the fine work on this site it has inspired me to design
my own tattoo. Using the list of tattoo artist on your site I have contacted
Leo Zulueta in Ann Arbor MI. About 150 miles away.
Thanks for putting this information together.I found it quite useful.

Hello you all!
That's so great to discover how many different interests can be found about tattoo... and who is from where...
Ken, will you let us see your tattoo in the galery? Easy to charge pics direct from the PC...
Now I understand why there is canoe in tony's pseudo....
Ana, a girl has just come in the spanish part of the forum... And you can also open a post in the polynesian part, if you want to discuss about your design... I don't know Hula and Ori... _________________ Liane (tatouage ketutiki) - Dans la vie, tout est toujours pareil et toujours différent...

Hello my name is John but my friends call me Maybe.
I'm from Texas and at work right no so I'm going to keep the intro short so I can keep on working. :-)
But I just wanted to say hello and thank you all for creating this website and forum. I'll be logging back on when I get off work and I'll tell some more about myself then.
Again this is great site and I hope to make some new friends here. |

Hi Adam
Our dictionary of Polynesian tattoo symbols will help you understand the meanings of patterns and see the difference between Polynesian styles, but as to designing your tattoo, you should let that job to a professional if you want a really good tattoo. _________________ Phil-admin (tattoos: Te Rangitu Netana, NZ; Marco Wallace, Italia)
